They keep saying it’s base spec but all have the rear e-Diff.

Maybe just a typo for P300 ~ seems that was the vehicle spec many of the others tested. I wonder what's going on when the P400X is not allowed to go off-road? What do JLR with FFRR launches ~ offer off road drives in the Evoque? |

Apparently the suspension stays stock height they drop the entire sub frame by 4-6 inches. Can’t wait to see 40’s on a defender |

They’ve just done a 4” lift on an L405 - 35” tyres look huge on it, shows the Defender’s arches are much bigger when you look at the Lucky8 one on 35”s.

Yeah I seen that one where they took it up a trail but on their lift it up’s the stock suspension height and it looked bouncy as hell! These other guys going for a much better solution that won’t effect the suspension. I doubt I’ll ever need anything more than factory spec tbh I don’t really go off road just now and again in field lanes on grass/gravel so I don’t need that sort of height.

I’ve been doing some quite heavy off-roading in my D240 110 and haven’t yet found any need to have even greater ground clearance - I’ve had it go to the first extended mode but not yet found it’s gone into super super extended height. I really don’t see the need in the U.K. for any more ride height. If we had to cross the Rockies on some of the back roads I’ve seen on videos it might be considered but we just don’t have those sorts of Boulder littered trails even here in Scotland that the standard system cannot handle. The lift rod thing is interesting - an engineer was quoted as saying what tyre would fit with a 1” lift.

17.9 MPG seems very economical for a P400 especially with them booting it, my worst was 19.7L/100 KM's, or 14.34 MPG in old coinage The average over 800KM's in our 110 is 14.3L/100 KM's so 19.7MPG that is based upon the onboard trip and petrol receipts yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Much better review. So were all these P300s fitted with the rear E diff? If so I'm not sure taking it down tracks the old Camel vehicles went down can lead to the conclusion that a "standard" new Defender can do everything an old Defender could do? |

As far as I can gather from various videos, they are all on coils and don’t have any of the fancy off road packs but do have the e-diff.
