I'm looking to buy a Soft A Bar from a forum member. I'm sure it will be confirmed shortly, but his vehicle list implies he drives a Td5 whilst I have a Puma with AC nose. I've looked at some on line photos and the A Bar seems to be the same, so I'm wondering if just the brackets need changing? Does anyone know if this will fit my truck if I get AM brackets from Flatdog etc, or if the actual A Bar is different as well?
Thanks in advance. Keen to get an answer to Bev asap so he can continue the sale if need be. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

This is a soft abar from a 2004. The brackets are different to the later ones so be careful. I had a local fabrication company make a new set for me as mine were too corroded. I hunted high and low online and you cant buy them any more.

Thanks Andy. I could do the same for the brackets, the question I shall more whether the A Bar itself is the same/different between Td5 and Puma AC. I can't see that it is and the brackets may be the answer. Monsieur Le Grenadier

If the TD5 also has A/C then the front end is exactly the same. I don't know for sure whether these A bars came in A/C and non-A/C flavours but I doubt it. If not however, it won't even matter if the TD5 doesn't have A/C. Darren

There are two different kinds of brackets (I think) but they should all fit any front end as the mounting points are all the same. You might have to drill a couple of hole in the slam panel. I have had a play with a few a bars and do have a brand new genuine Unused for sale if anyone is after one

Ive just removed my soft A bar from my TD5 air con....cant see why it wouldn't fit the Puma, the brackets are rubbish, if were to refit mine I would drill through the bumper and fix with a nut and bolt...

If it’s a genuine winch bumper it’s only two cuts to your a bar and it will fit. The cuts are all marked up on the a bar already too Ray
