Filling in Body Holes when inward facing seats removed

Does anyone have any tips on this matter. I have a 110 and decided to remove the inward facing 3rd row seats. I need to fill the holes where the seats were bolted in to the body. I cannot seem to find any plastic screws with a rubber seal to close the holes up. Any ideas anyone how I can close these holes up?

There are similar holes in the front footwell where the seats are attached via a plastic screw to hold down the carpet.

A coin with with some expoxy might be an option!

If you don’t need to use the holes again the usual solution is to take an off cut of aluminium and bond it to the underneath Of the panel then probably best to seal around the off cut just in case. Ray

OK so a body shop needs to get involved then. Sounds a bigger job than I anticipated. It does need waterproofing though.

Not really, it’s only glueing a square of aluminium to the underneath of the hole then when set run some sealer around the edge of the plate. Ray

I had success by just attaching anti slip tape from the inside (cleaner surface). Perhaps can apply a good automotive sealant from the outside as extra preventative measure against leaks. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

2006 Defender 110 Td5 USW Zermatt Silver

When I removed the rear seating in mine I sealed all the holes with big headed rivets and PU sealer. On the big holes I also used a SS penny washer on the other side. The holes are waterproof, practically flat inside, and can be reopened by just drilling the river out should it be required.

I just got new screws and screwed them on the same spots down flat. No fuss, no mess. All good so far. (I think I now jinxed myself)

It sort of depends on what sort of finish you want inside. When I did a similar thing to my old 90, I planned to soundproof and carpet the interior and so wanted a flat finish. I therefore bonded some small pieces of aluminium to the underside with Sikaflex, much as Ray suggested. It's a very quick and easy job:

From my build thread here https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/95342-how-t...e-puma-90/ when I took out the sideways-facing rear seats to replace with forward facing seats:

At around this stage (or indeed at any point up to here when paint was drying or I couldn't
make any other progress), I started filling up the original holes. I did this by using some
thin (0.2mm) aluminium penny washers bought off Ebay. I first painted them in primer, then
Hammerite, and then applied one underneath, and one above each hole and then riveted
them in place. To hold them in place while I was riveting, I used a dab of Tigerseal (also to
waterproof the “repair”).
