Spent an inordinate amount of time removing the tip-up seats from the rear with the help of a very understanding friend.
It seems this is a job best done when your vehicle is 6 months old, rather than after 5 years, when the bolt threads have had several coats of Waxoyl and road scum. And why are all bolts on Land Rovers twice as long as they need to be? Last edited by twopoint6khz on 22nd Aug 2011 9:19am. Edited 1 time in total |

Gave it a little bit of TLC as it's been in the wars a bit recently and was looking a little bit unloved.
Gave it a wash, and hopefully going to give it a polish if I have time later this week... although I'm off on my jollies on Thursday so my priorities are holiday related!! |

Get some ACF-50 on it Dan and spray it all up underneath your cappings as well, it will stop it dead, in fact buy two cans and get it on anything that's likely to corrode, - Nothing to worry about |

Dealer wants photos, will let them deal with it. Its going in for the roof repainting at some point so they can do it at the same time. To be honest finding the rust was just more crappy news in what has been a really quite rubbish fortnight. I was happy as anything being in Europe, once I got back to the UK it all went downhill again... 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Make sure they deal with it properly and not just paint over it Ask them or the body shop what they are going to do before they start messing things about.
