Now you've done it! Mine went a few weeks ago. 2008 90, 35k miles. As for oil loss, well initially, at least on mine, the leak wasn't overly bad. It gets on the belt and this throws it around a bit. Looked worse than it was. Chris. http://shropshirelandrovers.freeforums.org 2015 Defender 90 XS SW & Helen, 1964 IIa. Previously 2012 Defender 90 XS SW & 2008 90 XS SW. You're welcome!!! Didn't do anything in my Defender today except play with the stereo for Bpman. I did it all yesterday with the Pumatec fit! Now fitting blinds in the daughter's bedroom that I was supposed to fit yesterday! (Poo level was well above head height when Mrs got home yesterday and blinds weren't fitted) "Nice Ice Baby" (Couldn't resist Bpman! Not in a gay way!) Nice truck 'Ice' model! Fell at the final hurdle with my stainless steel bolt replacement. The front door hinge bolts are the last ones I have to replace, managed to do two and then encountered a problem with the third. Seems the hinge block is misaligned with the bulkhead, so the new stainless bolt won't engage with the captive nut inside the bulkhead. I eventually got it to bite after much fiddling around. Then once it was around half way in the captive nut gave out and is now just 'clicking' round inside the bulkhead. Think a visit to my friendly local Land Rover man is in order to take the hinge off and realign it with the bulkhead properly. Don't fancy doing that myself in case I screw up the door alignment. I had nearly done them all as well - typical! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Just back from sunny Bude . First decent run in the 90 , so now have a list of jobs.....
i) find the leak thats soaked the rear passenger mats.... ii) fit some sound proofing , never heard so many weird and wonderful road noises plus after 4 hours at 80mph thats some ditch pump under the bonnet iii) the wipers....first time I turned them on I was transported back in time to my mates mini wipers, they were too, need the variable intermitent mod iv) more plastic plugs for the carpets v) better rear door stay vi) actually better front door stays too vii) get a Momo wheel conversion viii) buy a roof rack (which needs to get below station car park barrier) Saw plenty of Defenders ( waved at and got waves from several) . Western Power 90s looked purposeful. Ideal vehicle for the lanes, getting to the beaches , camping etc.... Missus actually said this one is a keeper..... Stu |

well yesterday
drove from the West of Ireland to London loaded up with kids and luggage. Left at 8.30 and got to Upminster at 10.00 pm. 700km at mostly 70mph. Managed to get 27mpg and the 110 performed faultlessly. The missus even drove for part of the way which has never happened before. No aches or pains - bit hairy in side winds but fantastic overall. What a motor. I love it ! We also decided that for us the tray is more useful than the cubby box so we're not going to bother fitting it. Also noticed that after a long spin the tray gets very very warm. Don't leave your chocolate in it ! |

Finished work early today so finished off the window hinges I started last week (had to leave the sealant to dry and harden for a few days to finish it off around the edges!) They didn't need doing but they DEFINITELY won't need doing now
