After a long Motorway drive this morning, got to a roundabout put the clutch in, changed gear fine........clutch pedal stuck to the floor. Give it a bit of a kick and it came back up.
Now it just sticks everytime you put the pedal to the floor. If you push the pedal 2/3 of the way in it's a bit lethargic returning but comes up. Gear changes are fine, all drives fine, just the pedal sticks in. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

I am thinking that it could be due to the hydraulics in the clutch, it reminds me of this http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/Meck_Lock.shtml which gives a dead clutch by cutting the hydraulic pressure.

Thanks for the replies, I'll take a look.
The strange this is though, the pressure in the system is all ok. The clutch operates fine when you depress it and disenages ok, it's just it doesn't return. I'll take a look a the pedal pivot just in case it's just jamming, but I can't see it being that. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Just thought of an old series II I once had - where the clutch had similar problems - that was the "arm" in the master cylinder that had bended a bit - causing it to get slightly stuck when depressing the clutch. That was of course on a series II but the cylinder looks about the same....

Could be you've got a spring out of the clutch plate which is interfering with the clutch, happened to alot of people. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Before I went up to the Peaks today (loads of waves to loads of others today!), I sprayed the pedal pivot and spring with penetration spray.
...........So far it's all ok again..... Could be lucky and it is just the pivot point on the pedal. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Sounds like potential master or slave cylinder seals on the way out. However my clutch pedal went floppy the other week, turned out to be the spring had popped out of it's location on the pedal itself. Steve.

The pedal and hydraulics all feel fine, there's was a definate sticky feeling with the actual pedal.
Fingers crossed all fixed, did about 120miles today with it all fine. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Just thought I'd update you on this.......
It's been quite a few weeks now and the only thing I did was spray the pedal with Muc-Off bike spray which is similar to penetration oil. So far it's been fine and the pedal is a lot easier to push too. I think that the pedal was just a bit gunked up and sticky. PHEW!
