I agree that they might look comedy but probably do the biz in the sand out in the Gulf states with a bit of airing down. Not at all keen on the set in the first three pictures with the multi spokes and the big hub, nightmare to clean mud out of after a wet day out in the U.K. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Thanks. I think for me it will all depend on whether the Tuff Ant 18”s will fit without having to shave the brake calipers of the P400.

UPDATE: It seems that the 18” wheels will not fit on the P400 without a caliper swap. They will fit on all other models of the new Defender.

any idea what LR caliper they replace the P400 rear ones with?? not been able to find that out.. and for me
maybe a step i do not want to take, even to get 18" fitted

Okay so I have a bit more info about what Lucky8 do to get the Tuff Ant 18” to fit the P400. They swop out the rear brake calipers for calipers from a Discovery 5 SD6.

Im hoping to take delivery of my P400 later this week and it has been specced with 20” Wrangler Adventures. I originally chose 20” vs 19” because of the almost complete absence of off-road tyres available in 19” and I didn’t think and extra 0.5” of sidewall would make that much of a difference. I’m now wondering whether I should:

- Keep the 20” adventures and potentially get 18” later depending on warranty impact
Or protect the warranty and
- Upgrade to 20” Duratracs, or
- Swop my 20” for 19” Duratracs

Any thoughts?

I have gone 19” from the factory and will swap the AT for Duratracs when I start
the long lap of 🇦🇺 next March, or if I shred to many AT sidewalls in between on
some of the local tracks Laughing

I wonder if the SD6 brakes are both up to spec from a legal and real world stopping power?? yet another pommie bar steward down under

My next over landing trip is also only March next year - so I think I’ll keep the 20” ATs and see what other options become available in the aftermarket over the next few months.

Based on a quick google search the SD6 has 75kw less power than the P400 (225kw vs 295kw) - which is certainly not insignificant!

@Reulparts have used @braidwheels to make bespoke beadlock 18 imch versions equipped with @bfgoodrichtires km3 tyres for the New Defender, looks like there is a wheel spacer on herebut the wheel certainly looks good! --

Those 18’s must be a nightmare to clean with all those “spoke” things, designer cannot have had to try to clean mud out of the back of wheels like that. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

I wonder if LR would sign off the calliper swap out from a compliance perspective🤔 to
ease the angst with the regulators and insurers Whistle yet another pommie bar steward down under
