Aftermarket 18” wheels for New Defender
I’ve been in contact with a company in the UK who import off-road kit from Aus. They emailed me yesterday to say that they now have two designs of aftermarket 18” to fit L663 New Defender as a replacement for 20 and bigger OEM wheels. Unfortunately they don’t say if they clear brake calipers etc but as the do similar kit for Disco5 I would image that they have that issue covered. The Tow styles that they offering me are

The supplier in the UK is TuffAnt - https://www.tuffantuk.com/
I have no connection to this company, they responded to my inquiry after Zilch put me in contact with a company in Australia. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Tuff Ant are a very popular choice in 🇦🇺 in 18” wheels, especially their steels which also fit the
larger calliper TDv8 and 3.0 TDv6 Rangie sports, giving more off road tyre options. I believe it was
tuff ant that supplied the 18” alloys for the Lucky8 P400 after a rear brake calliper swap yet another pommie bar steward down under

What is the offset on the Terrafirma one? Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Tim, out of interest are you finding that the Duratracs on 20” wheels are not up to the task?

I was going to do the same as you and upgrade the Goodyear Adventures to Duratracs. Now I’m thinking I’ll keep the Adventures until the 18” wheels are available.

I’ve had no problem on the terrain I’ve used them on - mostly gravel fire roads so far. I was off-road on a very wet slippery and muddy hillside in my old Defender running BFG MT’s on Sunday and spent quite bit of Sunday afternoon in the rain winching the guys with Discovery3’s and old Defenders running AT’s because the treads just turned into slicks in the gloop and then on the wet grass after the mud they had no traction whatsoever.
While I’m using the new car on fire roads and green lanes I won’t be using it on trips where I don’t mind bashing/dent scratching my 24 year old much scratched 90!
We have a club training day coming up at a vast site where there is something to suit everyone and next to no thorny bushes or over hanging trees so I might take both cars along (I trust my co-driver to take the 90 but not the new one!) and see how the 110 copes on the Duratracs there on steep grassy slopes. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Thanks. I think for me it will all depend on whether the Tuff Ant 18”s will fit without having to shave the brake calipers of the P400.

UPDATE: It seems that the 18” wheels will not fit on the P400 without a caliper swap. They will fit on all other models of the new Defender.

I think many of us are anxiously waiting for some answers from Lucky 8 on these 18s with caliper swap. Like you, I love the idea of 18s on my P400 with plenty of great and meaty AT, hybrid and MT tires to choose from, but don't want to invalidate my warranty either by "swapping" calipers, whatever that means.

Umberto was this your comment on Facebook? I see Eriks response indicates that whatever they have done the warranty isn’t affected. But I’m on the same page, until I see something official I’d be very hesitant to put my warranty at risk.

I think the question will be more like “ are there any 18” wheels that look reasonable and not a dogs dinner for the 2020 Defender” Whistle 1951 80" S1 2.0
