I bought this for my 110 but have painted myself into a corner with regards space to fit it, so I'll need a different cunning plan.
Brand new, complete with 19mm adapters to fit the standard LR pipework: Click image to enlarge This lot cost me over £120 but am offering it for £80 plus postage, if required. I haven't priced it up but I expect that to be in the region of £6-7. Can be collected from Deepcut, Surrey, or posted at cost. Thanks for looking. Yeah, I was looking at those. My only concern is that whilst it's just big enough for the engine in standard trim, it's not if remapped to 150 or 170bhp, which is something that I'm considering. I need to do a bit of measuring but I'm hoping that the Provent 150 will be the good compromise between size and capacity. Indeed. For reference the provent 100 seems to be be performing ok on mine which is remapped to around 165bhp > 110 XS Double Cab

I guess the consequence of a smaller unit will be that the filter clogs sooner. As long as you're aware though, that's probably not the end of the world. Darren

TBH, I spent ages looking into this and it is a bit like chasing shadows. The stuff on eBay is pretty good for a much reduced cost - decent ones have the correct filter and overpressure diaphragm. Using this in a Defender is dead simple - the inlet and outlet need some creativity due to the diameters of hoses etc.I used plastic reducers and reinforced hoses. If you think about it, it is replacing a hose that goes straight to the airbox! The vent tube needs an on off valve - beyond this there is no complication. I have yet to see anybody say that their airbox/filter has major oil contamination before using a Provent. Rgds. Chris |

Ah, the filter I was referring to was the one inside the Provent. If choosing too small a capacity causes that filter to clog quicker than expected then there may be unintended consequences.
As for the eBay copies, not this time, thanks. Unsealed 4x4 in Aus did a comparative test on a range of different filters and the cheaper copies didn't fare well. https://www.unsealed4x4.com.au/the-great-o...omparison/ Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? The airbox and air filter would not show contamination because the recirculation pipe is plumbed in downstream.
If you take the intake pipe off the turbo inlet elbow you will see the oil contamination/gunk > 110 XS Double Cab |

Read that (and a few Youtube reviews) etc. before I made the purchase. Initial thoughts are there is little difference between the better copies and the original.
Will (obviously) be keeping a close eye on what this actually does etc. and will feed back. Rgds. Chris |

^^^ All I can say to that is that I must have read a completely different set of reviews!
I suspect that any form of catch-can or filter makes a big difference. The difference between a top-class one such as the Provent and a knock-off may be less significant. The Provent certainly does seem to help keep the MAP sensor a lot cleaner than before. |
