every 2 years is recommended
a lot of modern cars used to be at 3yrs, soit was out of warranty period but almost all the ones we have at work are 2 years now. |

Would atmospheric conditions play a part? Dot3/4 absorbs water. In low humidity areas, I would guess need less changes than the high humidity areas. Is the vehicle parked outside with lots of dew overnight? 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I had the same discussion with the Indy that looks after the 110 last October after he changed the fluids, the Land rover service sheet had every five years or a certain mileage but he said as the fluid starts to break down as soon as the the container is opened he tests the fluid on every service he does . He now recommends every two years . Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

For clutch fluid the sheet just says "check/top up" every year / 12k miles (every 2 years for brake fluid).
But if changing it is an easy job, I'll put it on the list |
