Yes it was the Concept but that’s exactly what it turned out to be anyway

I think the DC100 actually looks better than the New Defender, especially the front end/lights/front wing area... IMO

This is still on the US site: https://www.landroverusa.com/future-vehicl...index.html Unfortunately it is for the poorly spec'd First Edition for which you can't even pick the color!! I'd love to see the "order" that came out regarding rebating deposits. That is contrary to every car dealer's business model and likely ticked them off a good bit.......if it's really the case. |

If nobody can order one yet then there will still be 500 available?

I disagree there, having no kids I prefer a 3 door, our Ewok is a 3 and looks a lot better than a 5 door. |

Perhaps that 500 will be the entire "90" production run!

There's an "I want one" button to contact JLR, I'd assume if you go through the motions then that would be a reservation/pre-order/order? I'm assuming it's a similar arrangement to the one Ford has just run with the Bronco: "Good news for fans of the 2021 Ford Bronco who missed their chance to claim one of the 3,500 First Edition models—Ford just doubled production of the limited-run trim, to 7,000. Given overwhelming demand for the Bronco First Edition—despite doubling the number on offer, they're already all claimed." https://www.motortrend.com/news/2021-ford-...n-details/ The difference being in the clarity on the public announcements? |

..as much as it may sounds weird, because its coming from me, this one actually does look like old version, front ceiling is also nice giveaway...much much better looking than existing squeak...

I wonder how many of those wanting a Bronco were invalid wants from markets where Ford aren’t going to sell it.......? Basically anywhere that drives on the left side of the street. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

I thought you had to put a $100 deposit down also for the Bronco.

Not difficult on a credit card when I’m sure the system will only check your account is good for that much and not where you live. On the Bronco - $100 deposit, but it is fully refundable. On the D90 I think in the states the 500 were allocated to dealers, not a car you can order. What would be the point, it only comes one way. My dealer said they had 3 allocated but they were already spoken for. One has an agreement that it will remain in the showroom for a certain period. I am not sue how much stock I put into things that salesmen tell me though.
Whether it's the Defender, the new C8 Corvette or the new Bronco, I believe the model is to take the temp on demand before diving in on maxing out the supply chain. Nothing could be worse than a glut on dealer lots. In all three of these cases though, I think they grossly underestimated demand and now have supply chain problems - throw in Covid and it means JLR can't deliver Defenders in a timely manner to avoid people cross shopping other vehicles. The Bronco may face the same issue, but it has a much wider audience. The C8 is bullet-proof. It's next closest competitor costs twice as much and is no where near the same performance level. I am seeing more (numbers) of 110s at dealers - interestingly some are still First Editions ![]() |

Maybe the delay is because there is a lot of D110 stock to shift post C19. JLR may be hoping to switch some D90 orders to D110 by annoucing a long delay. Paul
