One area that the new one excels in though is fuel economy

Maybe that's linked to the weight saving from all the missing fasteners? Wink

just done 2100KM's in my RRS over the weekend (Sydney to Airlie Beach) and at the equivalent of 65MPH my
3.0 oil burner was sitting at 2000 RPM.. The 8 speed ZF on the Defender makes a significant difference
t seems to my old 6 speed .. especially when coupled to a lower capacity engine.. no wonder its a quiet

P400 US-Spec 110, this same rattle started today about 100 miles into my drive, not sure why it started but it's occurring on my driver's side (LHD).

Now that I'm back home, took some time to play with the window moldings/trim, but not sure where exactly it's coming from. This is in addition to the vibration I was already getting on the lower passenger side of the windshield where it meets the firewall, there is a TSB out on that one already and dealer is aware. That one starts occurring once you get up to highway speeds, about 65mph+.

Will update with a solution once I get it figured out.

I also have the windscreen noise. I initially thought it was the wiper as I also only hear it at higher speeds. If there’s a known issue hopefully the dealer can’t fix it relatively easily But it’s less of a problem for me that the door rattle. I still haven’t found the door rattle yet but seems to be coming from the bottom of the door I think. Does your defender have the side steps? Mine does and I have a suspicion something’s come loose when they were fitted (a few pieces of trim have to be removed to install them). If you have any luck please share!

I don’t have side steps and the rattle I have sounds like it’s from the lower drivers door, it’s not caused by anything in the door pocket because I emptied that out and now there is only my C-19 face covering in there. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Funnily enough i also noticed a sort of rattling noise on the motorway today was doing around 70moh. Not really loud enough to bother me and cant be heard when music is on but still wouldn’t mind getting it fixed is its quick and easy to do.
Forgot to add my noise is come from drivers side right side in bottom corner of windscreen.

IIRC PowerfulUK reported in one of their videos that they had similar and found the the A pillar trim was a bit loose, I checked mine on delivery day as a result but everything on the pillars was OK Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

My door rattle is the uppermost part on the driver's side, near where the door frame meats the B pillar. No side steps.

As had been said before ..... maybe rattle carried over from Discovery 4 2016? - my B pillar rattle has never gone away - despite going back to main dealer approved bodyshop - some 1 ½ hours away a number of times - never resolved. Indeed My Disco 4 goes back to bodyshop again - some 5 years later! - for rust bubbles on the 'a' frame door window frame.... Rolling Eyes - in a couple of weeks...

Going to be gone for around 2 weeks I'm told and I get dumped with some Peugeot thingy... the rust bubbles are barely ½" x ¾" .....but best to get sorted ....?

I went to the LR experience and drove 2 110’s. Both drivers (not passengers) doors rattled. I opened the doors and the noise stopped and feel it was more door movement against the door seals and indicated less than expected torsional stiffness in the body.

Poor show as they both had less than 200miles on clock 1951 80" S1 2.0

Add another to the list, this time more of a loud recurring squeak coming from the passenger (LHD US spec) C pillar. Was on a fire service road today, very mellow surface and only starting at 20mph a very loud squeak. Both other rattles still exist as well. Not ideal, only 1600 miles into my ownership and this thing is the loudest new vehicle I've owned.
