Didn't realise our section was for owners only?
Is that something Gerry has asked you to do? |

Any particular specs? Only a quick google shows available stock in dealers. For example https://www.paulmillerlandrover.com/new-in...yStyle=SUV Unless I've misunderstood they are doing deals under list too. WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

No idea what specs tried to have a look there, people saying its upto 30k over sticker price and also seen someone else say similar about Sweden. Apparently in America dealers can basically charge what they want, sounds crazy that they can do this. One guy said he would buy it there and then for the retail price and dealer said no and let him walk out

57 listed in California.
I'm not saying you have bad information, just trying to work out which version is so in demand someone is willing to pay over the odds. You are most likely more au fait with the specs. Can you see any particular version missing from the stock list? https://inventory.landroverusa.com/new/sea...pageId=406 WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

MSRP is list.
On a slight tangent, I read in this months LRM that there was a big waiting list in the UK and last month they said JLR had 5 times the orders they had expected. Both clearly not true. Makes you wonder if JLR US are also peddling misinformation? WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

Maybe better joining the Facebook group, few guys on there not happy and saying they cant get one for list price.
My local land rover told me a few weeks ago that they were selling faster than they could get them and yesterday when i was on the phone to the manger about my fault with the alarm, he said that he had not seen that problem with the new defender and said that they had sold just 6 of them. Saying that there salesmen there job is to talk rubbish |

I believe if you’re ordering an individual spec then there is a waiting list at the moment. 90 can’t be ordered yet but should be available come September though I’ve been told that I won’t see it this side of 2021. |

It's fairly common, and not illegal, for US dealers to charge hefty "Additional Dealer Markups" on brand new domestic or imported models that are, at least initially, expected to be in high demand, especially along the coasts where lots of the, uh, beautiful people live and don't blink when asked to pay $10, 20, 30K or whatever the market will bear above sticker (aka MSRP, Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price), just so that they can be seen in that vehicle before the... other beautiful people in their neighborhood.
That was true for the Defender as well (I was offered a first edition at $20k above sticker myself several weeks ago when my local dealer got his very first 3 or 4 first editions in), and although I had a good laugh and told them I'd much rather wait for my order to arrive at the end of August, someone else probably bit the bullet. This practice is generally short lived on anything but exotics and/or unusually enduring popular models, especially imports that arrive in smaller numbers. |

Doug’s view on why Bronco won’t destroy Defender sales in the USA and how GM has missed the SUV boat
Remember this is aimed at the US market not Europe. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |
