One reason why we may not get Bronco - American market vehicles cannot meet our higher safety standards.

I'm really struggling to understand these screens and what the settings are actually doing:

I don't see anything related to them in the iGuide, so do the screen actually give additional info?

Configurable Terrain Response

Land Rover has introduced a series of technologies to help deliver the capability customers expect from a Defender, including the latest generation of its patented Terrain Response system. Configurable Terrain Response technology allows drivers to use the touchscreen of the new Pivi Pro infotainment to fine-tune every aspect of the vehicle to suit its precise surroundings.

In the original Defender, drivers could lock the central differential manually using the high-to-low range gear selector. In the new Defender, drivers can prevent cross-axle slip using the Centre Slip Limited and Centre and Rear Slip Limited options on the central touchscreen controller. In addition, there is a choice of three settings for the throttle and gearbox response, steering and traction control, allowing experienced off-roaders and all-terrain novices to tailor the vehicle set-up to suit their requirements. The system allows four individual profiles to be saved, so different drivers can quickly activate their preferred settings.

Alternatively, the intelligent Auto functionality of Terrain Response 2 can recognise the surface and configure the vehicle appropriately with no input from the driver.

As the First Edition model in the video does not include a rear locking diff, there is no option to lock it visible in the touchscreen.

Thanks ~ where's that from?

Edit: It's the same doc!

Does that mean without the rear E diff you can't actually lock the centre diff? The screen is different here:

So from the article: "A study from the US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) said while the number of people killed in road crashes had fallen overall, the number of pedestrians killed by vehicles had risen by 53% over a decade."

So, they are actually safer for the population as a whole, it's just a subset, pedestrians, that come off worse. Exclamation

Did you notice that before he took the car back in he’s changed to the OEM wheels and tyres! Previously he was running black wheels with AT tyres..... like the car can be specced with from the factory.....

If you want you can totally ignore everything in the TR settings menus, even ingnore the TR, and drive it without assistance from a computer. I for one will not be trying to finger poke in the settings - didn’t have them on previous models with TR2 and see those adjustment choices as superfluous. I rarely used TR2 on my RRS just drove it like my 90 with only the low box and activated the HDC / DSC as I needed to. The only time I recall using any of the TR settings was in deep snow on the M74 and it was very useful at controlling the power I could give the engine. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
