Take out the entire assembly, remove the motor, clean it up. be extremely careful when disassembling noting where the tiny parts and rubber seal order goes together.
usually the bottom of the motor would have collected water and the bearing rusted causing it to get stuck. Spray plenty of WD40 or equivalent into the motor housing and leave over night. drain excess WD40 and clean up with kitchen towel. Apply a generous amount of grease onto both the bearings and light amount to the carbon brushes. Carefully reassemble and it should work. test it before you put the assembly back into the door and mount the glass. Sure, it's a lot of work, but this is what i've done a few times to resurrect them when they jam up. The defender has migrated, leaving the owner behind. |

Have you 100% tested the wiring that goes to the motor? It goes brittle in the sheath that goes between the door and the bulkhead. Thats where mine always fail... Insta: @thebenjordan4x4
