Spain 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Alaska White
Well one of the vehicles is a n1 and the seller is selling due to a French tax increase which ment about 10k to register the vehicle in France (he brought it to use in France)

He said m1 was easy to register but france put all the tax up on n1 registrations

Does that sound right @julie?

I agree, the combination of the newest vehicle with the fewest miles is the way to go, as much history as possible and try and find one with as few previous owners as possible too. Mine was a 2011 with 80k but just 1 owner from new and every receipt you could want (he obviously loved it) and it’s been a cracker.

The 2010 sounds like it’s worth a look.

Good luck.

Well updates the 2012 is actually a 2.2 the owner insists it’s a 2.4 but vin number does not lie. Also they told me price increases by 4k if I don’t take there finance. In the UK that’s illegal but in Spain looks to be std practice 😢

The 2010 I got a video sent across and noticed in that there was a considerable dent in the front wing. When I asked about it the seller denied it was there, the bottom of the arch is pushed in up to where the black part attaches, looks like somebody caught it and pushed it inwards, Don’t know if it will pop out easily.

Also the 2008 they increased the price by 1k as they say they think it was too cheep. I have been watching the market for about 6 months now, and most of the vehicles that were for sale when I started to look are still for sale.

Did see a 340,000 km one that was an ok price but it seamed to be some form of scam, money upfront to reserve, car checked out but got a bad feeling so left it, owner said it sold but since then have seen it for sale in 2-3 places for different prices, using some of the same photos but some with white wheels some with black etc.

I believe anything my11 and onwards is 2.2.

mine has done 100k miles and most are staggered that it's that anywhere near that high. i'd say you need to see and drive before deciding.

good luck Thumbs Up

So found one that’s a 2013 had a hard life with the body work from what I can see (but that’s fixable) the main question I have now is it’s had it’s turbo replaced at the last service should that send any warning flags up?

Thanks

Right so the journey has come to an end.

I picked up a 2010 model with 124,000km on the clock yesterday and drove it 800km home.

Only issue I have is the aircon is not working to full capacity (the seller has said the dryer is needing g to be changed, so that going to be don’t start the sellers expense when one arrives.

Few things wrong with it, it’s not a new car so has a few dents but I think it’s a solid base car, looked like the fusebox under the passenger side had never been opened (the top matt was still connected to the main matt at a few points.
