Was that a restricted power warning flagged up on the dash?..........
It was very quiet in the cabin bit a fair bit of engine noise when the camera was held outside the window. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

United Kingdom 2016 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Aintree Green
^^ at about 4:25 it alternated between Low Coolant Level and low tyre pressure warning (3 read 19.9psi and the 4th read 21.9psi).

edit: he also mentioned a faulty camera but suggested it may have been damaged. Tim, just noticed your other post about loss of cameras and parking sensors. It looks like the sensor systems and electronics in general might have a few gremlins that need shaking out. Maybe not a huge surprise on a new vehicle, no matter how much they claim to have tested it to the ends of the earth and back - but as others have said, it's the way they deal with them that makes all the difference.

Just posted in the other thread that the computers have got over their sulk from being parked out in the hot sun of Scotland and have decided to come out to play again! I’ve had to switch off the auto wiper function altogether today as so many bugs that even on the least sensitive setting the wipers were grating across the screen.......... I know it’s a first world problem but I never ever had that in the Mini because the auto on function was disabled every time you turned off the engine, so simple to leave the auto on on the second notch up but disabled until you touched the tiny butttton on the top of the stalk to reset the auto on/off wipe when it was needed. I don’t recall my L494 RRS or Evoques being so sensitive on the least sensitive setting, yes they would very very occassionally get triggered but by that stage you would be doing yourself anyway because of the mess on the screen

And I got flashed Headlights and waved at by a guy in Real Puma Defender 110 today as I turned off a roundabout into a local garden centre - by the time I was parked up he had turned round at the next roundabout and parked near to me to have a look so I took him for a short drive in it! Very impressed “but not a proper Defender, I wouldn’t want to dirty this interior by sitting in it after hosing out a slurry tank like I do with mine” Rolling with laughter Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Low coolant message seemed to be there right from the beginning.

With regard to the tyre pressures, what are the figures in brackets?

On the velar at least it’s current pressure and recommended pressure for the load setting, light load, heavy load etc

TPMS display is the same In Defender - numbers in brackets are what the pressures should be numbers above are “as read” by the system. I don’t know if he’s let the pressures down for off-roading or if there is a fault. I’m trying to figure out the why you would have 51 PSI because the numbers in brackets don’t relate to anything I see in my car and I use the PSI setting too not bars - unless the system is set to heaviest load in PSI but that seems way too high (or do I need to go to specsavers again)
1mpg because it’s a gasoline engine in low ratio, problably been sat idling with the start/stop disabled and aircon blasting away! Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

They need to send it to South Africa then and see if it can manage what I think is called the Lions Back or the Elephants back. There used to be a nice video of an L320 RRS doing it on HDC on youTube a while back - certainly silenced the nay sayers about RRS’s off road ability as it went up and down no problem on road tyres too IIRC.

If somebody in Aus can get their New Defender through terrain like this as easily as this Well known RRS Did it I’ll be a happy man because my car won’t ever get to drive anything like that (mainly because in Scotland we don’t have rainforests! We have the rain and the forests but nothing like that!)

Anyone seen any decent towing reviews yet? I pull a large flatbed, loved the d3/4 for towing the d5 not so much. Engine power aside I’m interested in how it handles. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE
