Added some new birthday presents yesterday - thanks to Brendan for the Recovery eyes and replaced the Landrover fitted steering guard tube with a proper guard!

Getting towards finishing the soundproofing job I started a few weeks ago, already tackled the roof and moved on to the rear.
I’m using 4mm Silent Coat (black) and 6mm closed cell foam, quite a satisfying job all in all. Also fitted an Alston headlining & re-coloured all the window trims black using a vinyl paint. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Flat battery again....Managed to jump start myself off the two 110ah aux batteries.
Time for a charger to provide some conditioning and top up. Ctek looking likely. MXS 5 or 7 I think 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Yesterday really,
Took mine for Mot, i know you can have a 6 month extension to them but I'd like to keep it all as normal as possible. Another straight pass. It's never failed anyway, but its good for peace of mind. |

Excossack, they are the Air Lift brand, i put a lot of homework into what to go for and they came out trumps!
Lots of good feedback, plus it’s a nice feeling that makes you all warm and fuzzy when you see your defender rise up and down!! Lol they work really well and simple to fit, I’m impressed 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

Like most of the 4x4 response teams, we in Devon and Cornwall 4x4 Response have been doing our bit and delivering PPE over the Covid 19 period ... my partner and I have had several runs a week to various destinations all over the 2 counties.
Todays run was to deliver PPE to a group of dentists, so had a collection of boxes loaded into to Poppy and a couple of hours spent on the road. The boxes all fitted in even with the camper units - so no worries ! Replaced the door hinges on the drivers door and on the drivers 2nd row door.
Shut lines are the best they have ever been. The drivers door shuts easier with the window or bulkhead vent....so maybe i have created an near air tight defender. Might invest in new door seals to see if it helps, i think the after market ones are a bit firm. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

What Greeni said, Well done to both of you.
Having just had a filling completed which had been cancelled some six weeks ago, my dentist looked more like Darth Vader than a dentist, demand for these are extremely high at present. |

Stefan, weren't you on the hunt for a set of smoke grey ones similar to the originals? What made you change your mind if I may ask?
