Bunkum Windy I have lithium Makita ones and they can be charged 1000s of times no issues. Battery issues were with n-cads etc

Any chance of a photo of the oak tree? If it has a diameter (as opposed to girth) of 12 feet it's going to be one of the largest and hence oldest oaks in the country, possibly 1000 years, and will definitely be tpo'd.

I speed read and presumed girth. It would be some tree if diameter!

And I mis-typed late last night should have been girth Embarassed. Sorry to disappoint. Just been out and measured it out of interest - didn't take a photo because it's peeing it down. About 2m off the ground it's 13.5ft girth.

wow, i with thinking you must of, 12ft diamater would of been something. Cheers

Im talking from my own experience where i only use the chainsaw once a year, and leaving a battery to stew for that long cannot do it any good. I might be wrong, but for me Aspen fuel is my solution to this Cool

battery chainsaws are great only if you use them regularly to keep the batteries maintained, otherwise the batteries deplete and thats no fun.

Batteries are better now, I have a Dewalt one and it uses the same batteries as my dill and grinders etc so they never sit round and always have plenty of batteries and chargers to keep the saw running almost continuously, had 4 chargers running yesterday to feed it with 4/5 ah batteries 😄 1997 110 Hi-Cap Keswick Green

I bought this yesterday as we’ve loads of trees in the garden and a Dutch barn full of wood that needs chopping up for the log burners. What a great bit of kit and more than adequate for what I need without the hassle of mixing 2 stroke and no servicing required.

Already have the Stihl strimmer which takes the same battery and gives me about 45 mins of continuous use.
