It will also be odd not to have paddle shifters, they were useful offroad for holding the car in manual shift -Defenders shift goes back to the days of the Freelander 1 steptronic..... The rotary knob is one of the things I really dislike on my Discovery 5. There have been several instances where I thought it was in Park but turned out to be in Reverse. After the second time it happened I started double checking before I lift my foot from the brake pedal. I think a lever will provide a more visual and tactile safety advantage. |

I'm 3 discos in the with rotary knob, kind of got used to it but its not as good as the proper stick on my earlier discos 3's especially when shunting the car its too easy to overshoot the selector and then you have to look down. With the stick you get that positive feel. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

interesting news in Australia, as of this weekend when you go to build the Defender on the
configurator, the website states due to supply chain issues there will be shortages in the diesel powertrains, and the configurator only lets you select the P400 no doubt the Oz market is being treated as the arse end of LR's target, or they have to many P400 units to shift Click image to enlarge yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Either all the posts in the top photo have been stuck in the ground at the same jaunty angle, or the photo has been realigned to make the slope seem steeper than it is!

Looks good but won’t they need it locked in off-road height all the time? 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

Saw two today. I thought I wouldn’t be able to tell them apart from the Kia souls and Skoda yeti, but they were both instantly recognisable from quite a distance. One even waved! Still ugly, but very different from the majority of motors out there. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
