 Click image to enlarge Earlier this year my daughter got her first car, a Defender 90 300 tdi 7 seat station wagon (pictures up somewhere). Well it is being put to good use. Apart from the work and college commute, when things get back to normal, there is her everyday stuff. She has a pony and well here is the result. This is the 90 minus the payload! I had to get the roof resprayed as the lacquer had peeled. Anyway she is very happy with it and more to the point she is using it for what it is designed for. She got her full licence earlier this year.

Yes the insurance was very good. As far as I know she was taxed and insured for about £1000, before she got her full licence. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

There's a woman who shops at a local feed place to me. She has giant pillow cases for the bales of straw. Looks very odd, but works a treat. |

Cracking 1st car! sadly when i was learning to drive, Defenders were silly money, and with me been on asda wages, No way and hell could i go anywhere near one, let a lone feed it!
My peugeot 306 was right on the boarder line of been able to run it, let a lone fix it. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Is it a Shetland Pony and she has no trailer to haul it around, so the pony goes in the back? Wish my 1st car had been a defender. In fact it was my mum's Volvo 340..., not exactly a babe magnet (but rear wheel drive nonetheless! ) Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000 |

She has not done her trailer licence yet and I think he would be a little cramped in the back of the 90! Hre isa photo of the happy couple taken a few years back.
Click image to enlarge When she moved away to college a few years ago he went with her so you can guess student accomadation was not the answer! She lives in a rural area so she needed transport for getting to college/work etc not to mention the pony business. As we never had anything other than a Defender it seemed only natural she would have one of her own. She never thought of anything else. He is in his mid twenties and only a few years younger than her. One of friends who i used to work with, She has two horses and loves land rovers
I asked her years ago if she could give my sister a little ride, She said yeah no bother, The laugh was her horse is an ex race horse and is pushing into a 30s. You can see the care she put into her, as she is in great shape, now retired now from horse jumping stuff. She always got a medal and came always in the top 3. Last time i saw my friend after she changed jobs and before i did. Her horse wasn't well sadly. and she was thinking the worst, i said to her, she will put through and i bet you will give another horse a lot of love too. Anyway a 2 maybe 3 years ago now, She got lot younger horse which is male, and he seems a right laugh looking at the photos on face book. So Both her horses have gleaming coats. Also how she reads them too is fantastic
I was nearly bitten by an ex race horse that was in the stables, she had her ears right back and must have had a right old bad time sadly, With short lads  My friend said yeah keep clear, she is feeling a little bitey i am like
