Off Road/Overlanding Mapping app

What app or software would most commonly be used or have downloadable routes available? I have the free version of ViewRanger and was thinking of upgrading to the premium version, would anyone recommend it or are there better apps out there people are using for off roading/overlanding with more routes available?

Wikiloc is very good . You can swap map views between satellite ,openstreet ,topo etc.
Premium is also worth it and cheap with a free 14 day trial

From my current research the overlanders tend to use a range of map apps. Mapy.cz is popular at the moment as its free, works offline and the maps are very detailed.
Maps.me is also popular as it Guru maps but there is a price to download more than 5 maps, and osmand maps are worth a look

As said if flying solo you need more than one..Wikiloc ( premium for £10.00) Garmin with specific maps ( Africa Tracks 4 Africa are superb) and a gps tablet maps.me / Viewranger ect.
It’s not an exact science though, unless you’ve got a local guide you do end up in predicaments some times ( see photo)
