i dont know too much about the TD5 parts (i own 300tdi 90) but i assume they are similar
https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...?year=2002 look at the above link and that will supply the part numbers for your car. Couple of tips when doing the job: - To remove the calipers its 13mm bi-hex socket DO NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE. they are in very tight and probably rusted. out of the 4 calipers i took off i had 2 bolts sheer off - the bolts which secure the discs to the hub are 14mm spline-head (which is very almost bi-hex so you will get away with using a bi-hex socket) - buy new caliper bolts and also new disc to hub bolts as they cost pennies and you will thank yourself later. - use the correct locktite on the bolts and torque them up to the correct setting. - this should be obvious but dont use copperslip or any other anti sieze on the bolts otherwise they risk unwinding themselves. I think these are the parts numbers you are looking for but double check these: Vented Discs 110/130 - LR017952 Front Brake Caliper Vented - RH - SEB500460 Front Brake Caliper Vented - LH - SEB500470 Caliper Bolt - SYP500090 (2 of these per caliper) Disc to Hub Bolt - UYG500030 Torque Settings: Disc to Hub - 72nm (use loctite 270) Caliper to Housing - 82nm you are very lucky to have a mechanic mate who will lend you his workshop and his tools |

New rear disc fitted today. The top calliper bolt caused grief as the socket length bumped the spring. Upon removal of hub there are 6, 11mm nuts to undo first. They hold on this fin type plate. Why is it there.?

Is this upgrade just as simple for pre 300tdi Defenders - i.e a straight swap for 110/130 front calipers?
