Wilko, I just dropped them a mail to see if they were still delivering, ordered it and it was here the next day. I’ve had to go to work for the last couple of weeks so haven’t got round to fitting it yet.

Still no idea why this is an 18 month solution?
I so very nearly bought one about 3 years ago off Brendan but l had already bought a pair of Nakatanenga rock slider/side steps plus other items at Stoneleigh.
The engineering of the wheel carrier is sublime & seriously tempting.

The rock sliders are as good as the day l bought them but then they are made of stainless & they were not cheap

Fitted mine today - thanks Brendan

I am sure this new stainless carrier will last more than 18 months
My old Mantec carrier lasted 10 years before the back plate completely rusted and had started to rust the back door Sad

I’d love a Nakatanenga too but the new prices are out of my reach particularly in the current climate!

Have you seen this as an alternative....

Yes. I bought and fitted mine today, which I’m pleased with as its solidly built and their customer service is excellent. Some good engineering on plus its English.
Thumbs Up

How did fitting it go Wilko? I’ve still got another couple of weeks on a project at work to go before I can get round to doing mine. Looking forward to it though, it does look like a decent bit of kit.

Hi All chris here from ORE4x4 I don't come in here very often as I dint like getting involved in the politics but another member asked me to given a number of Wheel carrier posts

Great to scroll through so much positive feedback, this is exactly why we started the business in 2017. Everything of ours in tested not only by us but by Beta testers. we allow a small number of units to go out to beta testers heavily discounted in return for feedback. we can do this as we are obviously a manufacturer and its important we have proven products tested by real world users (we also tested in a lab at Aston uni to see what would fail under massive loads).

Heres ours. https://www.ore4x4.co.uk/product-page/ore-...rier-black

18 months of testing development went into ours which is made by us here in the UK.

Lots of videos and content on this on our instagram and also Tiresbeak TV, Borris the defender and Juice motors have all don't videos on installing and a general reviews on Instagram/Facebook

we've not had any negative feedback on our wheel carriers (now just over 130 sold so far) other than what a competitor has told customers who then forwarded that email to us (I dont think that counts haha).

our powder coating is tested to withstand 1000hrs of saltspray and we warrant the coating. there's a video of tirsbeak TV explaining our coating system on the steering guard you tube video they had from us . link below

if anyone has any questions don't hesitate to get in touch. I don't use this platform much as you can probably tell so my direct contact details below.

if one of the admins can contact me we're more then happy to set up a discount code for you also Smile

I wonder, as part of your very good customer service, if you wouldn’t mind popping round and respraying my crossmember so I can fit my wheel carrier? Thumbs Up

I’m sure it won’t be the worst job in the world once I start Neutral
