This is very interesting i'd love to see which values you modified? What cable interface are you using to connect to winols?

Do you think the 70mph speed limiter could be removed in a similar way?

Thanks.

Puma 2.4 is limited to 82mph and the 2.2 is limited to 90mph as standard from the factory.
Other options were available to fleet users or anyone wishing to have a lower top speed.

Makes sense as the 2.2 has certainly exceeded 80 on a private road test

Re: 2.4 TDCI DCU-106 / DCU-102 EGR OFF Winols Solution?
Hey Cookey95, I'm very interested have dumped my hex of my 2007 TDCI recently and was using ECM Titanium to try and get at the settings etc.. But, the definitions of the maps are weak at best. Where did you get you map definitions for WinOLS? I am not very familiar with WinOLS but have downloaded a trial of it an it doesnt seem to find the Visteon checksum on the web.

Help would be appreciated to get me up to speed with WinOLS. I am keen to do some map development and mods.

I have some engine mapping experience but not on aftermarket software.

I am sure you can make the EGR map 0 but you might get a airflow PID error code since the MAF would go out of spec ... need to find the value/table which would trigger that error. But you might get away with it. If you block the EGR and dont get an error you are free and clear and then that scenario would work. Also this will probably keep the cleaning cycle of the EGR active which can be good as long as it does not block open in the cleaning cycle.

I was able to change the EGR map so that it remains closed at all times and also remove the codes. I intend to make a new thread and walk through the steps with another truck. Simple. Will take me a week or so to produce given work load right now.

Hi,

I am also very interested in learning how to deactivate the EGR. I just had to replace the EGR again after 2 years. Sad

Did you already post your tutorial or comments somewhere? Can you tell me the link?

Best, Elmar

Hi all, Have anyone tried to read DCU106 as DCU102 in KESS? There is only protocol for DCU102 in my version.

The dcu106 and dcu102 use the same family

Hi, nice to hear. Have you successfully read/write via OBD with KESS V2?

I do not use kess, but as I have mentioned it belongs to the same family and both the dcu102 and the 106 use the same protocols, in principle you should not have any problem reading and writing if the Checksum in writing corrects you
