TD5 Horn replacement recommendation
We had some pretty severe flash- flooding last year right outside my work,
Being the chump that I am , I got talked into using my Defender to drag out the muppets who got stranded in the floods thinking they could make it through
Not long , a few days after my heroic actions, I noticed that my horn was starting to sound a bit “warbled “
To the extent, my mot tester warned me last week that it was on its way out, today it died

I don’t think I want a standard LR horn, what can I replace it with that would be a bit louder?
Minimal tech work, bolts I’m ok with , wires and fuses modifications Im out of my depth

I only had 1 fitted which was not impressive!
I bought a pair of FIAAM hi lo horns and added a wire to the other side like the Pumas have.

Much louder and better sound.
I got mine at Wood Auto, other suppliers are available!

The standard horn on my 2015 VW transporter is impressively loud. worth looking for one of those.

Thanks for the suggestions
Will any 12v horn for a vehicle be compatible & be a case of Plug n Play ? My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.

Nothing wrong with another standard one! Definitely plug and play and completely fine.
I had a posh Hella one that failed.

My 90 runs twin air horns off of my ARB compressor just because I had a spare solenoid and switch already wired Cool Insta: @thebenjordan4x4

A pair of air horns fit nicely behind the NS headlight.
