The bulge in the rubber should be downwards, In fact it won't fit properly if you try to fit it upwards.

I had to drill new holes as did they not align. Still a straightforward and worthy upgrade.

Turned out to be the unfortunate option of drilling it out LandRoverAnorak but managed it in the end!

Thanks for the tips Mdm to be fair mine looked pretty bad once I’d taken it off! Gave it a bit of a respray whilst off too which tidied up the rear body mount holes.

good bit of work there Thumbs Up I decided to change the screws on mine, for stainless ones, and what a pig of a job that turn out to be. The screws ended up having to be drilled out, getting a screw driver to give them a turn just would not play. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Having seen this thread - I purchased the kit from Powerful UK
Simple 5 minute job after work - I thought !!!

3 screws snapped off and one had to be ground off Big Cry

Will re drill new holes and re fit tomorrow

Looks great! Yeah I’ve definitely put mine on upside down but I can’t face trying to unscrew it in the fear it will never go back on with all the holes I’ve made underneath! Keswick green 2007 Defender 90 TD5
