I am expecting to get a call any time next week, for an induction and then back on line, the following week. With nissan starting production again. Where i work already started lines back up a couple of weeks ago, BMW and renault, So nissan lines are starting ( which is what i am on) I am looking like Elton John with the hair and glasses at the moment Laughing So no doubt my work mates will tease me Laughing

I must confess this notion has played upon my mind for some time now. I intend to do a few shows with my IIA, probably do some camping, travelling...I'm not sure I will be able to get abroad for some time. I suppose if anyone is local I would go to the pub/caffine&machine.

I'm not sure otherwise? 2011 110 USW

Ah so you are from the better end of that part of sunderland, my grandad was from roker. i am sort from one of the better areas on the south side, Grangetown. You are not missing much at all, if anything the past year things have started get very nasty. when i finally get some budget together for my own place, i will be looking at a different place to live. I am not too sure on how work is playing at the moment, with restrictions in place. Some lines run with more than one man on. So we may get spread out shift wise.
I am in no hurry at all to get involved with crowds etc. i would rather wait till things are lot safer. But from what i have seen, people seem to think lockdown is over. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

The reality is that the lock down appears to be being relaxed but nothing has changed. No cure, no vaccine and let’s face it, control measures that no one seems to know whether they are effective or not?

I have had a great lock down. Me and my wife have been very lucky to have kept in work - albeit from home. We have the space and the ability to do so easily. I am not much of a party animal so pubs being shut has not made a great difference to my life. Saturday nights and Sunday mornings are free of Linekar and Match of the Day Thumbs Up (sorry, I really dislike football) and I have managed to get so many jobs complete which have been hanging around - some of which for years.

We were planning to return to Cape Town for a holiday. It will be a long time before I get on a bus or train, let alone couped up in cattle class for 14 hours on an aeroplane. After all this, I’m not sure whether air travel will be affordable as it has been. There’s going to be less planes, less airlines and from what I have seen, perhaps less airports (although I can’t see Heathrow going bankrupt anytime soon Rolling with laughter )

I was wondering whether the Peterborough LR show would take place? I’m just not sure I am ready to go yet? I may change my mind if this relaxation doesn’t cause another spike in infections.

I feel I am fairly unique still feeling frightened of catching Covid-19. I have had to go out and do some site visits for my work and I feel very uncomfortable at going out although I realise this needs to be done to keep the work going. Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks.

We have a little cafe up the road from us in the next village. We get takeaways to try and help the business keep going. I look forward to going back to sitting inside and having lunch on a Saturday. Think it’s a bit of a long way off yet.

I’m looking forward to my employer putting my salary back upto 100% instead of docking me 15% whilst I’m still working 60 hrs a week as an essential worker Evil or Very Mad but more than this I’m looking forward to spending time with friends and family and sharing laughter whilst in the company of them. 2015 HT XS 90
