Yes you can if as you say used carefully, end nip pliers are better.

Can get 220mm Knipex ones for £22 ( the ear clamp pliers) - hmmmm

I bought the proper tool a few years ago, wish I had done it years sooner. Probably only used less than ten times, but it great just pinching those clamps up and knowing they are secure and tight enough. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
