CV boot clip pliers
Got to replace the boot on the wife's Golf.

Worth getting the pliers or can you use side cutting pliers (carefully)?

What have you lot got? Don't want to spend a fortune on something I will use occasionally

Yes you can if as you say used carefully, end nip pliers are better.

Can get 220mm Knipex ones for £22 ( the ear clamp pliers) - hmmmm

Laser ones at Halfrauds for £15.99 (with trade card)

I bought the proper tool a few years ago, wish I had done it years sooner. Probably only used less than ten times, but it great just pinching those clamps up and knowing they are secure and tight enough. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
