I did notice yesterday the Police were not social distancing either.
There were shown leaning in car windows and also getting far too close to punters at Stratford Station on TV. I realise they have to do their job, but it did look a little concerning. |

One thing I have noticed is the roads being very quiet with little traffic there seems to be a lot more people speeding. It’s a 30 zone on the road outside our property but we have seen and heard a lot of cars racing past. A quiet open road is obviously too tempting for some.

Last week was beautiful silence on the road outside my house, I could even hear the birdsong.
Yesterday and today the road is busy and the noise is pretty much back to pre-lockdown during the day, even with no school trips morning and afternoon. I have no idea where they are all going..... |

I work as a teacher in a school where all pupils are in 52 week care for social reasons. We are effectively a shift of carers looking after these kids. I have worked as normal although restricted to the home and school site and have only travelled from home to work and back since the start of this. However as of today I need to shop for food and other essentials. I will also be moving cattle over the Easter break to new fields. All essential travel. I see groups outside the village shop (I live opposite) and watched an old dear stepping backwards around the forecourt for five minutes as her friend walked towards her talking.
My point is that it is hard to judge what people are doing. I don’t appear to be a carer when driving to work up the. M6 pulling a 16ft cattle box with a 110. Some are blatant flaunting the requests but my journey has changed significantly, motorway is very very quiet with about 85% of traffic seen being trucks. If I stay off the motorway traffic builds at two points as I pass hospitals and then calms again. I suppose this weekend and good weather will expose the real numpties out there. As an aside one of the issues that has been thrown up by this is shopping for a home of effectively 25 people. Supermarkets have been restricting volumes of product sold. Feeding all kids and staff has presented some challenges and increased numbers of trips have been required to secure enough food. |

Surely you can show the supermarkets relevant "school" ID and avoid restrictions? Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
