Light fittings water ingress and Checktemp
Two questions, may as well create one thread instead of two. Thumbs Up

Can anybody confirm the electrical supply for Checktemp units?
I imagine it is Ignition Switched live and ground only, not an additional permanent live or interior lighting Trigger as well?
The other wiring for sensors is not a concern, I'm asking because I don't have one of these units yet and I'm thinking sat putting wiring in therefore ready for use down the line.

Second issue.
For some reason I have found moisture in my LUX LED reverse light and also wet in the Wipac SMD number plate light.
The latter quite a lot. Rolling Eyes
I did use a hair dryer carefully before, but after time it's condensed again. These units are supposed to be fully sealed but I suppose with "strong water jets" Rolling Eyes it still doesn't cut the mustard.
I have some Silica gel packets in a plastic zip lock bag thing, I'm wondering if that may do it what do you think?

Or the other option is to replace. Rolling Eyes

Any thoughts or info appreciated, I don't doubt many have been here before. Thumbs Up Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

From memory.... You get a harness with the check temp. It includes the sensors and all of the wires .
It needs 12v ign and illumination as it dims when the lights come on. I think there may be an option for a perm 12v if you want to use the clock. I did not..

I used a 4 way wago box connector and got 3 +ve and 3 -ve connection all off the ign supply to the cig lighter.

I have the illumination spare for the lighter socket so that's an idea. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.
