Fitting Extra Switches
In looking around at getting a new(ish) Defender I was wondering if anyone had successfully mounted some extra switches...

The only obvious place to me was to mount them here in the red highlighted area:

Anyone else know if you can mount switches here, or if there is a better solution.

Currently using a MudPod from MudStuff to house 6 switches and 2 gauges for dual battery on my TD5...

I have my Redarc electronic brake controller mounted behind there with the switch and light visible lower down (on the sloping section) and the panic button where a heated seat switch would have been (not available here, and anyway I live in the tropics). The dealer mounted the controller for me so I didn't see inside there but my understanding is there was a significant air gap.

You can buy the genuine switch for the auxiliary lights (search the forum the part number's listed in several threads). It can go along the top row of switches. 110 2.4TDCi

The little box with the screen is a Genesis Battery Management System Thumbs Up Im fitting extra switches to mine but don`t want to butcher the dash Big Cry so have made up an alloy box that is mounted to the front of the Mobile Storage Solutons cubby box Thumbs Up
The box holds 6 switches and hooks into the vent holes on the front face of the box, it`s at the powder coaters right now.
