I have my Redarc electronic brake controller mounted behind there with the switch and light visible lower down (on the sloping section) and the panic button where a heated seat switch would have been (not available here, and anyway I live in the tropics). The dealer mounted the controller for me so I didn't see inside there but my understanding is there was a significant air gap.
You can buy the genuine switch for the auxiliary lights (search the forum the part number's listed in several threads). It can go along the top row of switches. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi ![]() LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

The little box with the screen is a Genesis Battery Management System
