It seems to me that the s4itstorm King Boris is cooking up is heading towards worst case scenario Doc P outlined on here.

On the positive side, he's saving a huge amount on not paying comp to close bars, pubs, restaurants and theatres. And theres the long term saving in not having to pay for pensions and medical care for the elderly and those with chronic illness.

Covid 19 is the lion in the enclosure, the old and infirm are the sick wildebeest and Boris has cut the fence.

Don't we miss Brexit now? - Oh he's running that too....

Impressed by Boris’ solution to this crisis. Let all of the UK get sick and then you will all develop a natural immunity against it. Interesting approach.

Imperial College produced modelling of his course of action and thankfully Boris was forced to make a big U turn.

It would have been disastrous.

Can we please keep the thread apolitical, obviously there are politicians involved in the advice and action however I feel this isn't the time or place to be trying to score points and raise a reaction.

It's a time to support, inform and discuss. Not to provoke and divide. That means no fake news or other crap.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Now is a time more than any to be respectful to ALL, not point score or create jibes towards others political or otherwise.
The thread was light hearted and for discussing about the Virus as Martin mentioned, not general rubbish and different subjects.

Doc P did indeed Input some valuable information and I think most of us are greatful for his time on that as it was voluntarily given to explain.

It seems some members here may even get it or have it as I have read on previous pages - We should be thinking about them. And any other members of society out there whatever age they are.

Take care everyone. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Perhaps someone in your area who is on this site could PM you and you could exchange phone numbers. At least you could talk to someone and if they do not hear from you within an agreed time frame they could try phoning you and if there is no response they could dial 999 on your behalf. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

DO NOT TAKE IBUPROFEN or anti inflams. Paracetamol only. Apparently they are finding a link with Brufen making it worse.

Fluids, bed rest and check in with friends. Do keep us updated. From what I have heard, you do feel like you've been hit by a bus. Good news is, the bus doesn't stay and you will get better.

Please keep this thread real with the problems people are experiencing and not Political or subjective

As a point as a few of you willl you know, one of my children, a daughter who has serious health conditions and as such if Hollie caught the Covid 19 virus she would most probably die. It is a worrying thought, and I feel powerless to prevent such a thing, I have been told today by Hollie's specialists that she will be given her treatments, but for how long.

I realise that people being laid off from work and the financial implications that this may bring to them particularity if they have a family and their welfare is of great concern.
But the worry of a child you love who should they become infected transcends all else and is a proper Censored up. Sorry for the swear word.

So bear a thought for all people who are more worried about this virus affecting people who they care about other than mundane things that most of us can overcome rather than what I saw today, in Tesco's Didsbury, such as people fighting over a packet of toilet rolls.

Also I just have to say thank you to all medical staff I have seen today who are managing with total bravery to look after the people most at risk, exposing themselves to a new virus with incredible risks. Very special people in my opinion. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
