That may well be contained within the patent, however for all UK-destined Defenders the winch and mounting kit is in fact a dealer fit. . |

I keep following this thread, hoping that one day I might find the vehicle just a tiny bit attractive.
Instead, the opposite is happening. All it has achieved so far is to make old Freelander 1's seem attractive, which I never thought before! (So I've just bought a Td4 FL for £500 to park on my front drive for the benefit of any passing thieving scumbags, while I keep my Defenders elsewhere). Happy to use one of these new Defenders for the same purpose, when they come down to £500. Meanwhile, I appreciate that some people like the new vehicle, so I genuinely wish you good luck and a happy ownership experience with them. |

When they get down to £500 methinks that you will be using it as a hen coop...

The only thing worse than a graph with no axis units is one with units that don't start at zero |

I thought the 90 was going to be ok-ish but OMG, this is just awful; the more I see them, the more I think that the Defender name really should have been dropped completely... Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains |

I think that example above is a good example of what colour combinations don’t work. I had a similar issue when I tried black plastic wheel arches on my santorini d4 it made the plastics look awful, strangely java black worked on the d3 though! the arb bumper upto the nava (presumably) bonnet does not blend well. Same goes for the black wheels against the wheel arch trim.
@supacat you ask about numbers quoted above, they were the only numbers. no way was he letting in their internal targets other than to say they had underestimated orders and were surprised. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE RR MY23 HSE PHEV D5 MY19 HSE - Now Sold D4 MY16 HSE Luxury - Now Sold D4 MY12 HSE - Gone D3 MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten |

The 90 looks fine
Click image to enlarge The problem with that X is it’s silver, which is a horrible colour on any car, and it has too many accessories on it that clash with the silver, silver/black never a good look. |

I think the 90 looks right as it is a 100" wheel base. A bit larger than the classic 90 but also more compact than 110. On the orher hand the new 110 is a 120 and this looks too long and short to me and is far from the proportions of a classic 110. Defender 110 SW MY2011 2.4tdci decat, no EGR

The first 110 I had a look round was in access height with no roof accessories it did look a bit long but then after seeing it again in the flesh at standard height and in off-road with the expo rack it looked great much better. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

I think that the other thing with that Defender X that makes it look bad is at plus £82k it’s never going to go off-road so why spec it as such.
Off road looks a rubbish wheels and tyres.......trying to have all the looks and no idea. Almost feel sorry for the neighbours. |
