All good points, on reflection it's probably the largeness of the fixed glass which is remarkable not the smallness of the drop glass. Your comments have made me realise how huge the door is, which will be great in wide open places but could be a nightmare in car parks (and private garages) given the width of the vehicle.

The D4 rear opening window is quitre big, I think the photos are probably just deceptive.

"800km done and dusted in Namibia in Land Rover’s new Defender. Land Rover didn’t hold back on the difficulty of the terrain either - there were some gnarly 4x4 tracks along the way. No worries for the Defender"

South Africa 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White
Leisure Wheels magazine

"Defender adventure in Namibia, done and dusted. We piloted the new Land Rover Defender for 800km through Namibia's tough as nails Kaokoland. This was no la-de-da gravel road drive - we traversed some really tough 4x4 terrain. Full adventure and a comprehensive Defender 4x4 driving report in the upcoming May issue"

As there is no mention that it survived this submarine test are we to assume the electronics succumbed to the water............ I’m sure if it had survived there would be much headlining and crowing about it passing this extreme test...... Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Yes, it was fine. There's a little more detail if you track down the twitter feed (which I came across via Instagram), which included confirmation that the door seals didn't leak (along with associated comments about how it can't be a real Defender then Rolling Eyes ). Darren
