More video ~ although I think I've seen most of it in smaller sections, this seems to be all the snippets edited together:
https://www.reddit.com/r/LandRover/comment...re_wheels/ and early article: "Here Are My Favorite 2020 Land Rover Defender Features After Field Testing In Africa" https://jalopnik.com/here-are-my-favorite-...1841983008 With (Full Disclosure: The amount of money Land Rover must have spent to get myself and dozens of other journalists from all over the world to Opuwo, Namibia for eight waves of three-day fully-supported off-road expeditions for the Defender launch... I mean, I can’t imagine. I’m sure it was a whole lot more than I make in a year. The event was quite something, though. You’ll read about it soon, I promise.) |

Why is it so many people who are supposed to be educated and know these things refer to what Land Rover rightly describe as a Raised Air Intake as a “Snorkel” - Land Rover has never, as far as I am aware, supplied a branded intake that is watertight. Referring to it as a snorkel implies some element of watertightness around the various holes in the body and at the air filter, something LR is careful NOT to imply Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

The water gets sprayed where it needs to be rather than all over the windscreen. |

It would interesting to read what sort of fuel consumptions those Defenders are getting in those conditions - a lot less than the official 24mpg for the petrol engined variants I would guess. Is that a Hi-Lift farm jack on the roof of this hi-tech vehicle? I wonder where you can attach it to the body without damaging a panel........ I would expect you can use the panel on the 110 its got fixtures behind specifically intended for mounting accessories. I hope to see some innovative 3rd part use cases for it. not so sure on the 90 immediate options i guess are something coming off a recovery point but not so it prevents use. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

Apparently it’s a staged recovery so the journos can play with the winch.
