The the "good" news about the corona virus is that research has shown that old men are the most likely segment of the population to die from it.

Happy days, presumably?

So are you saying Anne (Anna) Soubry is a classy member of society then? Whistle
You've mentioned class upon another member on here before, seeing as you don't know who you are talking about or who you are talking to is rather unusual to say the least. Rolling with laughter

She also said "The world is on fire". How did she get that idea then? If she means Australia, which I don't doubt is the case there was 24+ cases of deliberate arson over there all over Oz.
Those are extremists on,y trying to further their campaign, and in the process killed millions of wild and domestic animals in the process which is despicable.
Her quotes are actually factually inaccurate in that point, and to be trekking around the world is creating the hypocritical issues she has been on about and completely irresponsible with the virus outbreak.
Not to mention a massive waste of public funds on Policing.

Nothing achieved other than wasting hard working people's public funds paid in taxes for

Slidey - You've highlighted what I'm getting at. They are the very ones who are what is wrong with our country.

What next only old folk only back Great Britain? I'm living proof that that isn't true. What about our boys in the Services I suppose they all don't give a damn about GB? No, they love GB and put their lives on the line for our safety.
Except for some officers, many are young across the board.
I appreciate what they do greatly.

The same thing in the States, they protect their country at all costs.
There is nothing wrong with protecting our countries interests or theirs.
And guess what as expected, it's very popular indeed to back ones country and with good reason.

Millions fought for the freedoms we enjoy today, we are so lucky to enjoy the freedoms we have as a country in the UK as does the USA. No Guts, No Glory.

Personally, I am sick and tired of hearing about Greta. She appears to fly everywhere telling us what we can and cannot do.
She offers no alternatives and ,being a kid I do not expect her to, but, we have enough of our own nutters and weirdos without importing those from other countries.
It is pointless telling people that they must give up the internal combustion driven cars unless you can give them a viable and I mean financially viable alternative.
I have been a pensioner for xxxx years and am fortunate to have my own provisions, but many do not and they cannot afford or be expected to afford to buy new cars or those second hand ones that will incur high charges for repair because the batteries are on the way out or the computer systems are failing.
I can drive into my nearest city, Norwich, and park all in about 20 minutes. When, as as an experiment, I went there on public transport it took 3 1/2 hours ,cost ยฃ15 each way just for one person. This is clearly unacceptable and appears unlikely to change, other than get more expensive, prior to the banning of petrol and diesel cars
And, before someone mentions the park and drive, it was full up.
I did not hear anything constructive from Greta, just the same boring uneducated ramblings of a damaged child. 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue

Public transport isn't as cheap as many think either so that's a very good point.
Also a great opportunity to encourage the spread of things like Corona.

Then there is a private taxi, last time I used one it cost ยฃ12.40 one way to cover just under 4 miles. About 3 miles just over in fact and nearly drove in the back of a bin worry in the process. Very high speed and kept the radio running at significant volume and never spoke a word to boot.. No Guts, No Glory.

I would like you to retract that comment please, if you were talking about driving in on The A47?

We have been trying to get the sodding thing dualled between North Tuddenham and Easton for years now and it looks like we may be getting to the final hurdle (if any of us ever live that long!)

Any sign or evidence that Highways England see that the road might just be fit for purpose, the scheme may get put back another 10 years!!! Lord knows how many more people need to die and be seriously hurt before it gets improved.

After all, we will need nice roads for the battery cars to drive on Whistle

You are right. Public transport is a joke in Norfolk. Two bus companies trying to run buses on the same routes and a Park and Ride service which is questionable to say the least. The City of Norwich is being gridlocked by the council being hell bent on shutting roads, building cycle lanes that cyclists rarely use and Park and Ride bus timetables that are unachievable - they allow the same times for the buses to run off peak as they do at rush hour giving the drivers little or no chance of ever keeping to timetable. The more roads they shut, the more queues there are and the slower the buses run. Going home at night, it is not unusual for them to be late and then to get two P&R buses running in Convoy or for the buses to be cancelled because of "Staff Sickness". This I believe to be a code for "we haven't got enough drivers".

I really feel for the Guys who drive the buses. They do the best they can with what they have but I can quite honestly see why people don't want to use the service.

I'm sure Norfolk is not unique in any of the above.

Nice one Steve!
Absolute top quality rambling. Totally surreal and incomprehensible, like a cross between Eddie Izzard and Trump on acid. Very entertaining indeed. Kudos to you.

I really don't envy your hangover this morning. I guess your ICE install will have to wait for another time? Be sure to let me know if you need some help.

Have a great day and please be kind to yourself.

God bless. WARNING.

Zed you need to stop the snidey insults on here, itโ€™s not that sort of forum.

If you want to do that, go elsewhere, itโ€™s not acceptable here.
