I placed an order for a sleep base system in Nov 2019, and made some arrangement with them to ship it together with a rear seat which i got from a member in this forum. But unfortunately that didnt work out (won't go into details) Its Feb now, the seats are still with them, and i am in the midst of making arrangements for them to be pick up, hopefully all will be resolved within next week? Its almost impossible to reach anyone over there. |

Had the same set up in my 110’s, MSS draw and Chest. Chest is always full, draw is alway empty unless doing a trip. Allows the groceries to go in the drawing when going to Tesco, the dog is always on top on his bed on the draw. Recently I have put a dog crate on the top of the draw so I can put kids scooter etc on top of the draw.

Still no response from Paranoid to me. I think it’s safe to say that they will not be getting any of my money.
Great setup, Tack. Now, where did I put the phone number for MSS... NG |

I used MSS, the v8 has a drawer, a chest and 2 side lockers.
One of my old 110’s had a full length drawer, I bought a foam kit for guns, which was hideous money for a piece of foam, it’s now un-used... as I wont throw it. Click image to enlarge |

I am looking for an alternative drawer system/sleep base for my rigs. Preparing them for Borneo Safari end of the year, anyone came across something like that or ideas for a D110 SW?
thanks much |

Not sure what's up with them, but definitely not normal behaviour from business owners. Shame, they really have awesome products. Hope they sort out their things soonest and i am able to move on. |

This is a common misconception. Although he did work for ourselves (Trek Overland & Mobile Storage Systems between FEB 2011 - MAY 2011) he did not design the items. Mobile Storage Systems drawers were designed in 1999 by the then owners of the company Pamela and Nigel. As the gentleman behind Paranoid was born in approximately 1985 (so 14 years old at the time the products were designed) I'm sure you can see that he definitely DID NOT design Mobile Storage Systems drawers. Hope this clears up any confusion. www.trekoverland.com | 01751 430 693 | info@trekoverland.com Expedition Equipment for you and your 4x4! www.mobilestoragesystems.net | 01751 430 318 | info@mobilestoragesystems.net For all your secure storage needs! |

Has anyone (or know of anyone) used https://www.animaltransitboxes.com/
Seems they are able to make a custom solution to include items not on their website, i.e. upper cargo shelves. Thanks Mark |

I have a set in the back of my 110. Really like them. They are made from a plastic so really light and they run on sliders instead of normal metal runners so no rattles. They are surprisingly strong, I have used and abused them for 3 years now and they have been great. The chap that runs the company is really sound and you can customise to your hearts content....

Thanks for sharing.
I think good feedback about the company is extremely important. I just had an unpleasant experience with a company which last for 4 months. total waste of time, and takes the joy outta modifying the rig. |

We have built a home made version in ply for our 110- I think its one of the best things we have built for the 110 in terms of improving usefulness and making use of space.
Much as the manufactured ones are really nice, I just couldn't justify the cost. Its split into 2 separate drawers- with a central vertical divider that adds some additional strength- we have had a gearbox and transfer sat on top of it with no issues. The drawers themselves are very simple box construction with completely flat bottoms which we wax heavily once a year, so they slide in and out of the casing easily enough- I would estimate that the maximum weight we have put into the drawers would be around 40kg and it still slid absolutely fine. At some point I will probably do a version 2 which will have some additional refinements- principally I'd like to add a locking mechanism (we use a shed latch currently), add a set of nylon wheels in the top back corners of the drawers so they run in and out a little easier and also add some stops to prevent the drawers falling all the way out! I can add some pictures if folk are interested. Regards Chris |
