My wife has had her Discovery Sport now for three years and intends to keep it for another year. It has done 30,000 miles to date and goes in next week to have it checked over just before it comes out of warranty. She had the rear discs replaced after one year (under warranty) and that's all she's had done on the car. We're aware of possible oil dilution problems and therefore change the engine oil and filter every year instead of every two as a precaution. I managed to hit a concrete block and took out a tyre - called Land Rover Assistance and they were excellent - back on the road in 40 minutes.
The DS has certainly been more reliable than BMW 1Series which it replaced and she likes the extra space and the extra ride height. We do a lot of fence judging for British Eventing and the AWD system even on standard road tyres has never let us down in mud ruts or wet grass when X3's and Q5's have failed miserably. A neighbour has just traded her three year old DS for a face lifted one and she did not have any issues whatsoever. Defender 90XS SW Mini Countryman Cooper S Morgan Plus 8 |

Ewok = Evoque
Back to the original question, none of those if it's a diesel due to the oil dilution and service interval problems. Petrol, Maybe, which one all depends on which you think looks best, or has enough space. |

Hi not sure if this helps but I would possibly steer clear of the Jaguar as I can see issues with trying to charge these, there was one at our local yesterday lunchtime and she was having a nightmare with it

If you can't even park it properly you've got no chance of plugging it in Defender 90XS SW

That’s an I Pace Barneyboy, the E Pace is the smaller version of the standard power train F Pace.

The E-pace is on the same platform as the Evoque and Discovery Sport, very closely related to both, transverse petrol or diesel internal combustion engines.
The F-pace and Velar are on a totally different platform, with longitudinal (North/South) mounted engines. Similar to the Jaguar XE saloon. Yes, Jaguar's model naming strategy is VERY confusing. |

E Pace is based on the old Ford Freelander 2 platform. So must be 14 years old now. It’s heavy and the E Pace is thirsty, heavy and horrible to drive.
The Evoque and DS I know little about except they are under specced and overpriced. Also have a look at reliability. I had a Lexus - but the mooing got to me - so recently I got myself a Volvo XC40. JB @Lodelaner Instagram Youtube greenlaning and other LR related content |

I went to the dealership a few weeks ago and had a go in all 3 of those. Disco Sport for the space, E Page for sporty looks, interior and handling, but for me the new Evoque is gorgeous, it looks great, is sumptuous inside and has a real ability to make one feel like they’re driving something a bit more special. Just my opinion of course

Thanks all. I should have mentioned, we will be looking at something 3 years old or so. My pockets aren’t deep enough for a brand spanker!
