middle aged white guys with dreadlocks ! If you're black dreads look cool no matter how old you are. If you're over 30 ish and white then long hair's fine, pony tails are fine but dreadlocks don't make you look alternative they make you look like a knob ! Harumph ! |

Why-O-Why do we have the "thought police" on the motorways? .. you know the trollops in the jap crap 4x4's holding up the motor way because a mouse shat in lane 1 ?
they'd closed lane 1 on the m3 because a lorry had a flat ... the flippin lorry was on the hard shoulder FFS and within 2 minutes a queue had built up.. (rant over) |

Ahh the Highways Agency Wombles, the motorway dustpan and brush men, you don't want to see the bill they send the haulier for the lane closure while the tyre is being changed its horrific, and you don't request it. Our trucks are told unless they realy are in a word of just try to crawl up the hardshoulder to the next junction or lift the offending axle on the trailer. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

one annoying thing about the Lake District :
tourists who drive around at 20 mph either because the road is a bit twistier than they are used to or they just want to look at the scenery holding everyone else up in the process and don't realise that people work here and don't have time to dither. Still its the Windermere air show tomorrow. For me the highlight will be a Vulcan - the same one I saw being restored at Bruntingthorpe 10 years ago and now its in the air ! Can't wait |

Bloody charities.
I called into a local charity retail centre yesterday to confirm that they still planned a pickup a nice and not very old 3 piece cottage suite and some other decent furniture that came out of my mum's house when I sold it after she died last year. While I was waiting I spotted a new looking bookcase that matched the furniture in my lads room. I asked if they would knock a bit off as I had already donated quite a fair bit of good quality stuff from to them over the past year but was told in no way would they reduce the price (I asked for £20 off for cash but was prepared to haggle to £10) but if I did buy it they would charge me for delivery even though they would be collecting the furniture from my place at the same time. Cyclists.
On the way out tonight I couldn’t believe it when a cyclist went across a mini roundabout in front of me with no hands on the handlebars and texting at the same time. And then just now on the way back in the dark a cyclist was going downhill without his hands on the handle bars and that was a bumpy A road. You can just see the headlines – “4x4 mows down cyclist” but not bothering to mention the bl**dy idiot hit a pothole and wasn’t using the handle bars. Tell me I’m not being unfair………………………… BM52 |
