Good as a general charger but they don't like starting to charge a battery that is under 10v. They can be fooled into charging in this case by putting a charged 12v battery in series to kick things off. 2003 Defender 110 TD5 SW

Do you mean series or Parallel? Putting a 12V battery in series would give you somewhere around 19-24V, which it probably also wouldn't charge!

I’ve got one of 5hose, it works great as a maintainer/topper upper, but takes an age if the battery is significantly discharged. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Also, if they are like the earlier version, and unlike a CTEK, if you have a power cut, even momentarily, they drop out and go into standby mode.

This one drops to motorcycle mode after a power cut, so it continues charging but at much reduced peak amps. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Does anyone know if this will charge Lithium and/or AGM?
I have motorbikes with Lithium, and my CTEK won't charge them...

It has a cold weather profile with a higher charge voltage which manual says should also be used for AGM. It doesn’t have a setting for lithium. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Lithium is usually in another price category altogether.
