how long did you spend out there rob?
did you go in and out of perth or head up and out of darwin? did you try the canning stock route or gibb river road? i love australia; 6 right numbers and i would be out there straight away. |

i was there for 3 months ( had a 6 months visa)
i took this route Perth Esperance Norseman crossed the Nullarbor Plain Port Augusta Adelaide Victor Harbor Broken Hill Uluru too Laverton (i wanted to cross back to WA via the great central rd (Track) but police told me i would need a permit to cross through some parts with a 10 day delay so i drove back to perth via the Nullarbor did 12500 ks with my TD4 90 not a drop of oil needed just a little water for the cooler now and again. and lot's of Diesel..... i'll go again next time with a 110 LANDROVER Defender Best 4 x 4 x Far Defender TD4 90 Hardtop 2.4 Defender TD4 110 Hardtop 2.2 |

you say you went from Uluru to Laverton - was that on the Gunbarrel Highway (via Giles and Warbiton)
sound a fanastic trip. did you make any seating modifications to do that big distance in a short time? i would also be interested in the shipping costs if it is not too rude to ask? Cheers, Joe |
