hello mate,the gearbox can take 600ftlbs [tko 600] so much more than an ls3 can dish out

Washed today. Also collected the van. Had originally thought of a 3 seater small van but I would rather take the pressure off the 110 so went for a transit custom crew cab LWB. Plan is to drive over soon to collect the parts and engine.

The transit would leave the 110 for dead

its a late 2016 euro 6 when it changed to the 2L 170ps. Very nice to drive, was lucky to find it 20mins up the road with only 18k on it and not abused. Andy

MOT today so with that passed we can get started on the LS3

Gave it a good bath today and then tomorrow i am starting to strip in down on the interior before it moves to the workshop.

Delay in gearbox so just been working on the inside. Also since I put so much effort into my second row seat box decided to go for the 4 Recaros again, added a SWE-1200 alpine sub to the second row cubby and dynamat started on the roof.
Have decided to permanently remove the 3rd row seats and going to add a drawer unit with a foam cut tool and jack kit inside.

Still waiting for the gearbox which is now in the air, so hopefully wont take long to clear customs.

Did more stripping out of the interior, got myself a very cheap new heritage transfer knob as the main gear stick will be replaced with the auto lever. Not keen on the red band so I took it apart, reverse engineered the little connection piece and printed myself a fine resolution black one which comes up perfect which a little fine wet and dry, and then just bonded it all back together.

Also cant decide on badging. Miss the bonnet defender so order a new Brunell set and then might try the land rover 110 on the grille.

2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey

I've just thought. reference the colour I think you should consider going for Stornaway Grey. The other greys are ok along with all the other colours for that matter - including white.

assuming you come to your senses and need to get your hands on a Stornaway Grey quicker than you can get sorted with a re-spray I may be able to help

Thinking of remaining white, losing the rack, fitting the works 18’s and then the croytec bare anodised alloy handles and fuel cap, I kinda appreciate a plainer factory look now.

Side steps and bowler sills don’t work together so both removed today. Collecting the alternatives from dealer tomorrow to try.
