Carry on luggage
It's time to replace my carry on luggage....
Having had a frantic dash through Dubai both going & returning over the last couple of weeks - I need to sort things.
No idea what to get but hard shell , spinners ( 4 x wheels) handle etc.
Mainly for electronics i.e iPad/phone/camera/kindle.
Needs to be light.
Cost - almost immaterial - just want something really good.
Any ideas??
Cheers

Rimowa is generally the go-to for what you describe.

Muji is good quality and more reasonably priced.

Tumi make by far the best travel luggage. It will last you for decades, But they are costly.

Thanks for all the input.
Settled for a Rimowa Salsa which l got for an excellent price off eBay.
I always knew you could spend big bucks on the likes of Louis Vuitton but l didn’t realise you could drop £3k + even more on some mainstream cases.
They are clearly Uber cool but out of my league. May your life be like toilet paper ; long & useful.

My pair of £500 each Tumi suitcases lasted 4 years. The £100 each Samsonite replacement are still going strong.

But a suggestion for the OP is Zero Halliburton, Cannot get much tougher but they are heavy unfortunately.

Rimowa, Tumi, Samsonite (mine) have all good ones. One of the most important things to check before buying is the quality of the wheels and especially their noise (or the absence of noise). Nothing more hateful to me at an airport to see people with cheap luggage on (small) rollers which make a lot of high pitched noise. Eastpack, not hard shell, also have some very practical carry on luggage on wheels which are extremely quiet in operation. Also use one of those.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
