Clutch less gear changes are a technique that would get you there, but unfortunately need a bit of practice, preferably in someone else’s car!
I learnt in Army Land Rovers and did not kill any gear boxes, though some may have had a few chipped teeth! 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

Is it a Tdi ?
If the pedal is stuck down then it sounds likely that clutch fork pivot has worn through the clutch fork. Unfortunately it's a gearbox out or pushed back to replace it. HTH Mo The Land Rover 90 - Many are called, few are chosen. 50 Shades of Pennine Grey |

Not the fork then slave cylinder or master cylinder and no loss of dot 4
1. has clutch fluid been changed ? 2. colour of the fluid black or dark in colour seal braking down 3. master cylinder piston seal can fail but not loss fluid i.e. fluid is leching past piston seal and you pedal lost pressure 4. slave cylinder is gear box out job Last edited by dorsetsmith on 8th Jan 2020 9:06am. Dirty black fluid would indicate a breaking down of the inner seals on the clutch master cylinder, hopefully it is just this which is a simple enough fix, luckily it was in my case.
With the slave cylinder being concentric in a 6 speed gearbox, this will be slightly more awkward. |

Had the same thing on our 2.2 110 last year. Turned out the slave cylinder had died. Gearbox out job and did the clutch at the same time. Charlie
