Great to see you again mash, I was wondering where you had vanished to, also happy new year!
While you have been away I did manage to get a replacement D, not sure if you saw. I managed to blag my self a decent TD5, as a replacement. Great to hear you took the gamble and moved onto a better career, fire fighting is a challenging job but a rewarding one too. I dont think EM services get enough respect or pay for what they do. Hi Procta, yes I’m alive and well thanks, been flat out so have been dotting on and off here for the last few months, I currently have a rather long list of jobs that is continuously getting bigger to fit in by May this year, well the 9th to be precise as that is Guernsey’s 75th liberation day so it’s full steam ahead on that. Hopefully I will still find time to get stuff done on the wagons and update it all on here whilst checking up on what everyone else is doing as always there is a possible surprise that may or may not happen in the near future but I can’t confirm it yet
Yea I had seen your new purchase, thought I had commented the TD5 is a lovely engine and still simple to tinker with. As for the career I had ticked off my list of what I wanted to do with the exception of a few little bits that are so rare it’s almost impossible to achieve. I have qualified as an airport firefighter so we don’t deal with the same type of incidents as the local brigade but still have to be ready for anything and everything from medical emergencies to the worst case. Like with a lot of jobs you get some that are over paid and some that are under paid, the wage I am earning is manageable and I have the time due to shift work to boost my wage with a second job if I wish, I do agree some aspects of the blue light lot don’t get the respect or pay they should as I know a fair few in other careers within that umbrella and some stories are very shocking. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |
