Cheers Clayton and Grafty!
Black wheel nuts will be on their way soon. Just didn't get round to it. Currently prepping the car as I have got it booked in for a full dinitrol treatment at the start of January. Debating whether or not to get the outside of the cross member treated with dinitrol at the same time along with the tow pack as it would save me time and money. But I do like the look of the painted rear cross member currently. Instagram - @Land_Rover_Defender |

So today consisted of stripping the rear mat out and giving it a good clean. Removing the seat belts was a pain due to the bolts underneath. Removed the dog guard also, gonna decide if I want this or not, I think its a good addition and is so easy to put in.
The rear mat is tired and old, so if anyone wants this then please make me an offer on it, it has some holes drilled into it where things have been previously. I will be replacing it, DM me if you want it. Rear bulkhead bar to go in soon also! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Instagram - @Land_Rover_Defender |

Been busy this weekend with the TD5. EGR deleted and replaced with the bypass kit. New injector harness and tappets adjusted
Spent today stripping out the interior and cleaning everything! I am probably being fussy but I do like a clean car, especially when it has got someone else's dog hair in it Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Who doesn't like a clean battery box? Update on the Tonga Td5.
Done a fair bit of work on the car over the last month. I took the car to SouthWest Rustproofing to have the chassis sprayed in Dinitrol. Can't recommend them enough, they did a fantastic job. The old waxoyl that was on the car was a mess and they prepped the car by removing all of this properly to then give a good coating of dinitrol (see photos before and after). To my surprise I needed a new rear crossmember which was annoying, the old waxoyl was hiding a few holes on the underside and I am now glad that it has been replaced properly and treated with dinitrol (cant be sure what is hiding beneath nasty waxoyl!). The chassis now looks like new. I had a new fuel tank guard, brake pipes and some other bits which were old. So that is the chassis sorted for a good few years! I will be returning to SouthWest for an annual inspection and top up. Discovered that I needed a new exhaust. I was planning to get a new one anyway because I wanted a straight through so this was just an excuse to do it now. I opted for a full stainless Twisted Automotive pipe. Removed the gearbox crossmember easily, with the bolts coming off no problem and there being no rusted on the chassis rails which was good news! Cut the old exhaust off and then fitted up the Twisted one. No issues with fitment, it was a perfect match. All stainless bolts used on the exhaust and stainless bolts on the gearbox crossmember. The exhaust sounds fantastic and is more responsive. Few body bits to sort out next, I have just finished spraying the wheel carrier and tow pack. I will be spraying the crossmember in Tonga green so thats next on the list. Lots to do still! See photos below. The chassis has been treated with Dinitrol. First it was steam cleaned, all the old waxoyl removed with tools etc. It is then sprayed with Dinitrol rust converter all over. The inside of the chassis, doors and bulkhead are sprayed with Dinitrol wax, the outside of the chassis is sprayed with Dinitrol 4941 and then Dinitrol stone chip 445 is used on areas which need a harder coating like the tow pack and arches etc. Dinitrol is a great product, really happy with the results, much better than waxoyl! Good work Greeny! What are your thoughts on the exhaust? How does it sound? I've currently got a TD5 with a straight through mid-pipe and decat front section but it's starting to crack/rot etc so looking for a more robust solution and can't decide between Twisted and Alive offerings. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop
