If i had the dosh i would of had the soft top from you

I know what you mean about moving on but letting go the soft top will be very hard for you Sad , have fun with the " parts " list for the newer one

Yes I probably will regret it. Did a lot to that truck, still have the hard top and all the bits for it which I may include within the sale... Thumbs Up

Anyway, onto this new one haha Laughing Instagram - @Land_Rover_Defender

Few bits done today.

Rear number plate light has been removed and replaced with an LED one, rear towpack has been removed and will be spraying that soon and then fixing it back on with some stainless bolts.

Good to see some sound proofing under the mats.

A bar removed

Unearthed some shiny bits (or they will be soon) on the car yesterday. Everything will be removed for a good clean soon!

Nice find there with the Serck intercooler Question and loving the K & N sticker Wink

Good job doing the rear number plate light, replaced mine along time ago as it had rusted that it could not hold the bulb in properly Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Today I started the major service. All was going well until I dropped the bolt for the centrifugal oil filter down the drain pipe and into the sump, I then spent hours getting it out with a magnet but eventually got it! So I didn't actually manage to finish the service for the engine. But I have got all the oils for the axels, gearbox, engine and trans. Should hopefully have the majority of the major service finished tomorrow. Cheers to Grafty for the help!

Didn't realise how hard it was getting under a car that isn't lifted Rolling with laughter

Removed the tired side steps today and then gave it a wash and a small polish! Tonga green is a fantastic colour!

Few photos from a drive out yesterday after changing the gearbox, transfer box and axel oils. Used MTF94 oil and the gearbox seemed to change better, but it is hard to tell with a slickshift.

New wheels and tyres should be on their way, hoping to get them fitted next week. Might have had some inspiration from someone on this forum for the setup I have chosen to go with...

So, biggest change yet on the Tonga Green TD5. New wheels and tyres. Thanks to Grafty for convincing me to go for the same setup as him, exactly the same haha. Picked up some Hankooks from pj2106 and then got my wheels from 4x4 tyres. It has changed the look drastically! From the small 235 boosts to the VBS Nemesis wheels which are 285/60/18, I like it a lot and it handles better also! Stopped off at Caffeine and Machine on the way home and when I came out to my Landy there was an 05 plate Tonga Green TD5 with silver boost alloys parked up Rolling with laughter it was like someone was telling me to put the boost alloys back on... Rolling Eyes Boost alloys will be for sale if anyone wants them.
